Following the time-honored Hollywood credo of "milking
an idea so dry, it doesn't even exist anymore…and then
milking it some more", the recently-expanded MGM has
announced they'll be whipping out five brand-spanking
new (likely direct-to-DVD) sequels that include INTO
THE BLUE 2, THE CUTTING EDGE 3, LEGALLY BLONDE 3,
WARGAMES 2 and SPECIES 4. And just in case you were
wondering about the kind of exciting, rollercoaster
ride you'll be in for with these films, here's a
little sample of some plot synopses: LEGALLY BLONDE 3
is described as "Beauty and brains bring big laughs"
and, naturally, INTO THE BLUE 2 will be "A new and
exciting installment based on the action thriller
about aspiring treasure hunters." Exciting stuff! The
truth is, if they can't scrounge up enough money to
throw at Jessica Alba to at least make a bikini-laden
cameo, they better damn well get someone as hot
prancing around in an obscenely short bikini because
if they don't, they might as well just eat our souls
like the dream-shattering monsters they are
